Booking your trip is the first step of getting ready for your northland adventure, but packing and getting your gear ready to go can be a little tricky if you haven’t experienced winter ice fishing in Minnesota. However, we are here to help you check off your packing list to ensure you have everything you need!
Must-have essentials for Minnesota ice fishing:
- Warm and waterproof boots
- Extra socks
- Gloves and winter hat
- Non-cotton clothing (cotton absorbs moisture and can cause you to feel cold even with multiple layers)
- Snacks and beverages
- Any other comforts that you can’t live without
If you are staying in one of our sleeper houses, we provide heat, generators, and a stovetop for cooking. However, be sure to bring warm bedding, cooking supplies, and fishing gear if you are not renting from us.
