Lake of the Woods
Here’s a real-time window onto Minnesota’s legendary Rainy River just off the southern shore of Lake of the Woods. You’re looking out toward our docks here at River Bend Resort, up on “the point” near Baudette, Minnesota, where the river meets the giant lake.

Sturgeon Migration
Anglers frequently land these massive prehistoric giants right in front of our resort.
Border Waters
That far shore is Ontario — the river is the boundary between our two great nations.
Eagle Country
Bald eagles, ospreys, pelicans, and many other fowl patrol the river all year long.

Year-Round Fishing Fun
Mounted on the dock at River Bend Resort, our webcam streams the Rainy River 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The cam looks east across the river into Ontario, angled slightly north, toward the legendary Lake of the Woods.
Now you can watch the “Boat Parade” every morning. Around 8 am, all the local charter boats leave the river docks and parade in a line out to LOW.
During the open water season from early April through November, you may see tournament boats in front of our docks, or perhaps a great sweep of Canadian geese pouring in from the prairies. Through winter, the river falls quiet, ice forms in slow lattice along the banks, and the world shrinks to woodsmoke and the long blue dusk.
We're very fortunate because the Rainy River and Lake of the Woods are two of the best fisheries in Minnesota. Straight in front of our docks is perhaps one the most active fish migration highways in the entire Upper Midwest.
